Details that matter
A 190 x 100 mm, 40 mm deep cast-plaster ceiling body that sits flush in the board, with a thin flange that is filled and painted into the ceiling.

Cut-out and flush trim
Cut the ceiling or soffit at 195 x 105 mm; the plaster flange laps the opening by about 5 mm all round and is filled and painted with the surrounding board, so no frame line shows.

Lamp and service
2 x GU10 behind the opening. The lamp drops out from below and the holder sits on a spring clip, so re-lamping never touches the plaster joint.
